Personally I hate counting calories because it just takes up so much time to do, but the things I have discovered about my diet by recording not only calories but also fat contents have often surprised me – foods I assumed were healthy turned out not to be, and some “bad” foods weren’t actually as bad as I thought. Only by doing the number crunching do you realise these things…
I use to say (and say and say) I would never count calories but when I started I was glad I did. I had no idea the impact the unchecked calories had.
Knowing about calories also made me aware and knowledgeable about the trickery used in food labeling.
It was not hard at all because once you get the idea down you can expertly guesstimate and that will always keep you on target. ![]()
Swiming worked wonders for me. 5 hours of swiming each week worked like crazy and I went to having muscle in under a month.
That’s great Paul, swimming is indeed a low impact exercise that many people use to speed up the metabolism and burn calories. It is not to stressful on the body and it is a great relaxation sport as well.
Exercising and calorie counting is good for you. It also helps to lose weight for the women.
I like your articles, keep it up.
