Is there a Over Weight Adulthood or Thin Adulthood in your future?

Many teens think that they are fat and overweight and in fact they are not.

They may be teased by the thinner kids around them and they could possibly be even healthier than the teasers.  That’s Right!

You could be in better shape than the thin kids who slight you with jokes and teasing.

They may be the ones who need to put some weight on their frames. Sometimes in this weight conscious world we become blinded by the thin models constantly shoved in front of our faces with magazine ads and the TV commercials. Many of these thin models and actors are suffering health wise due to maintaining the ultra thin bodies.

It is a common law of nature that people who make fun of others are just people who are truly miserable with themselves. Take this in consideration when people attempt to ridicule for any reason.

Now, if indeed you feel you are over weight, keep in mind, that as a teenager your body is not matured yet. You have a world of growing and body transformations to undergo. You may have a little, what we affectionately refer to as, babyfat. As your body matures this babyfat will go away. If you need to really know if you are indeed a candidate for being classified as overweight you should have your parents consult a qualified professional in a field that involves weight and nutrition. A qualified professional will set you on the right path and address your concerns.

You have teens that feel they are over weight and they set upon a course that will cause them harm in the long run. You have kids that end up suffering from bulimia, mess up their metabolism and teens who become anorexic.

These are just some of the physical and emotional pitfalls of losing weight the wrong way and for the wrong reasons.

Teens need to remember even if they are over weight, they are in the best time of their lives to be that way, because the younger the body the easier the changes can be. As you grow older it becomes even harder to lose weight and get in shape. It can be done no matter what age you are, it just takes more motivational, inspiration and commitment.

When you become older and start reaching your midlife years the body has already (without proper exercise and nutrition) loss muscles, started to lose its tone, reached a slower metabolism and changes are harder to achieve.

Teens need to resist being emotional and obsessive about their weight, because this could lead to depression. An active lifestyle goes along with being a teenager and this in itself will help you get in shape.

Excessive eating of sweets is bad at any age and should be avoided, but the occasional treat is good for the body and mind.

There is no wrong time to be concerned about your physical well being but being overly concerned is wrong at anytime.

Just Keep in Mind to eat right, stay active and keep up your self esteem because you are the Best of the Best.

As a teen I find your article enlightening and informative. Many people do not know the problems that teens face with weight. The meaness from their peers is something that makes it so hard to deal with too. It is bad enough, the weight problems, but being made fun of is a hurtful thing even more.
