The diet is based on blood types and how they have evolved over the years. According to the diet, Type 0 blood is the oldest and most based on meat and low wheat and carbs. This comes from leading a life based on heavy meat consumption. Then, when individuals moved around their diet changed. This is where Type A evolved. Those who are Type A do better with a vegetarian and low fat diet.

Blood Type B originates from the Jews who ate Kosher. Today, B’s should eat vegetables, meats, grains, dairy products, and fruits.

AB blood comes from mixing Caucasians and Mongolians. This is the newest blood type and since it includes both Type A and Type B there are more foods that may be eaten and tolerated.

Foods

Each blood type has 16 food groups including things like meat, beans, seafood, dairy, oils, breads, cereals, and the like. The foods are then broken down into categories including Highly Beneficial, Neutral, and Avoid.

For example, some foods that cause weight gain in Type Os include sweet corn, wheat gluten, kidney beans and lentils. Type As should avoid dairy, meat, Lima and kidney beans. Type B should avoid sesame seeds, sweet corn, peanuts, and lentils. And, Abs should avoid seeds, sweet corn, lima beans, and kidney beans to name a few.

There are plenty great choices you just have to be aware of what’s good and what’s bad.
